Tomorrow in Certaldo starts Mercantia, the International Street Performers Festival.
A bit of history
Mercantia is the most important festival for street performers in Europe. Dancers, street marching bands, fire eaters, mimes, magicians and other performers will show off in the streets, within the museums and the historical buildings and gardens of Certaldo.
Artists coming from all over the world aim to participate to this event, that is really magic and transform the medieval hamlet of Boccaccio into a surreal world, where entertainment is the master keyword. Five elements will animate the festival: water, air, fire, land and game. As a matter of fact the game, the social game is the leit motif of this 25th edition.
