Halloween is not a Tuscany tradition, but we’re celebrating it with lots of events around Tuscany. One these events is Halloween at Certaldo, so let’s have a look at the program!

The event

Compagnia del Drago Nero

Compagnia del Drago Nero

On Wednesday October 31st starting the medieval hamlet of Certaldo will be transform into an horror castle with entertainment for children and grown up.

All around there will be special set ups with dances and creepy figures that will tell stories about ghosts, witches and monsters. At the Compagnia del Drago Nero there will be the enchanted forest inspired by the Celtic culture with dances and figures.

At the Limonaia there will be readings about ghosts, while next door there will be a magic path trough the Middle Ages, while in the Archers’ headquarter visitors can meet the executioner and witches.

At 10.30pm there will start an horror costume pageant going along the medieval hamlet with street artists entertaining visitors, that will end up in front of bug fire.

Halloween at Certaldo is organized by the Compagnia del Drago Nero, famous company of street artists and dancers related to Mercantia, specialized in medieval and Renaissance performances.

Entrance doesn’t have a fixed price, but it’s an open donation. The event will start at 5pm with children activities. For parkings and other info about Certaldo I recommend you download the free app TooMuchCertaldo available for iPhone and Android.
