Events in Tuscany on this Weekend June 1st to 3rd

This is the first weekend of June and on Saturday June 2nd in Italy we celebrate the Italian Republic Day. In addition there lots of events all around Tuscany, so let’s have a look at them together!

There will be the last weekend of Chianti Classico è, with wine tastings and other events, including Radda in a Glass and the Scents of Lamole near Greve in Chianti. There is also the Chianti Wine Exhibit in Montespertoli where you can taste Chianti Montespertoli and Chianti Colli Fiorentini. In Fivizzano near Massa Carrara there is Sapori, a traditional fair to discover local flavors and wines together with the arts&crafts market.

On Saturday and Sunday in Arezzo there will be the antiques market in Piazza Grande. Just on Sunday there will be several antiques markets and collectibles in Montalcino, in San Giuliano Terme, Scarperia, Pontremoli, Pietrasanta, Carmignano and in Fiesole.

There will also be beautiful medieval festivals. Starts Friday the Medieval Festival Biancoazzurro in Castiglion Fiorentino where you can see jugglers and flag-throwers, in Malmantile near Florence there will be the traditional Medieval Festival bringing you back to 1400, in Calcinaia near Pisa there will be the Regatta of Sant’Ubaldesca where the city boroughs fight each other on the Arno river.

In Lari there will be the Cherry Festival, in San Giuliano Terme the Wild Boar Festival and the Slug Festival in Vicopisano. In Mugello there will be the Prugnolo Festival in Firenzuola, the Tortello and Steak Festival in Vicchio and the Strawberry Festival in Sant’Agata.

Last but not least, this weekend opens the interesting art exhibit Ov-Azione by Marco Cipolli at iScuplture in San Gimignano, while in Monteriggioni there will be the guided tours to Staggia and Abbadia Isola.
