55 Chianti Wine Exhibit
Started few days ago the 55th edition of Mercato del Chianti, international appointment for Chianti producers, buyers and lovers.
The Chianti Exhibit take place in Montespertoli, lovely village on top of a windy hill about 30 km from Florence, and it is the most important event for the Chianti wine of Montespertoli and Chianti Colli Fiorentini.
It’ a long week of events, concerts, workshops and tastings. In Piazza Machiavelli there are the wine producers’ stands selling their best wines that you an taste and buy at special prices. And you can’t taste wine without eating some good Tuscan food!
For this special occasion you can visit the art exhibit of Mario Mariotti, international artist born in Montespertoli, and that recreated along via Roma and via Sonnino his famous artwork “100 panni d’artista”.
The Chianti Exhibit will go on until June 3rd and the wine stands are open Monday to Wednesday from 6pm to 12am, while Friday to Sunday they will be open from 10am to 1pm and then 4pm to 1am. On Sunday a large market will go throughout the streets all day long.
