It looks that summer is here and hopefully the weather will be nice and sunny for this second weekend of June. Let’s see together what to do in Tuscany.

In the beautiful Cortona starts tomorrow June 7th the Archidado Jouster that will go on until Sunday June 10th. The city will go back to the Middles Ages, in particular to 1397 when the wedding between Francesco Casali married Antonia Salimbeni. Costume parades, flag throwers, medieval food, wine and much more. In Badia al Settimo near Florence, there will be Igneus 1068, historical re-enact of the fire trial that the friar Pietro succeeded. On Saturday and Sunday there will be the medieval festival, while the fire trial will be at 9pm on Sunday.

In Colle Val d’Elsa there will be the Sagra della Miseria, food festival celebrating the poor and traditional Tuscany cuisine. Opens on Saturday and Sunday night at 7.30pm in Piazza Santa Caterina. In Borgo San Lorenzo there will be the Tortelli and Steak Food Festival. In Florence in the Ammannati Courtyard and in Piazza Pitti there will be Florence Wine Event, three days of wine tastings with the best wine producers.

In Gallicano in the province of Lucca on Saturday there will be the Corpus Domini Infiorata, that will cover the streets with petals, as well as in Pitigliano in Maremma that will be on Sunday. Also in Cerreto Guidi there will be the Infiorata on Saturday and Sunday. The Infiorata will be also in Cutigliano on the mountains near Pistoia and in Cetona on the Cetona Mount. In Camaiore near Lucca, the streets will be decorated with carpets of sawdust realized in one night.

In the Renaissance Villa del Cigliano near San Casciano there will be the arts and crafts market with Italian masters. There will be food and wine tastings. In the center of Pistoia there will be the antiques market on Saturday and Sunday, as well as in Forte dei Marmi.
