Autumn is here with its colors and its flavors. There are great festivals to taste the best products of this lovely season. Let’s have a look together!

Fairs and Festivals

The chestnut is certainly the main character of most of the festivals for the upcoming weekend. In Arcidosso in Maremma there is the Chestnut in Feast with lots of products made of chestnuts such as beer. There are wine tastings, arts&crafts market and live music. In Carrara on Sunday there is the Chestnut Feast with typical products and arts and crafts market.

In Mugello there is the Chestnut Festival in Marradi, Vicchio and Palazzuolo sul Senio, three big appointments for food and wine lovers. Chestnut feast is also in Montieri, including polenta and wild boar.

VolterraGustoThen in Trequanda near Siena there is the New Olive Oil Feast where you can taste the new extra virgin olive oil, as well as learn how to prepare traditional dishes using it. In Fosciandora in the province of Lucca the Wine Feast with wine and food tastings and the traditional Palio of the barrels at 3pm.

In Castelfiorentino there is the Autumn festival with wine and food tastings as well as local arts & crafts, while in Montecarlo there is the Chocolate festival with the best chocolate masters from all around Tuscany.

Last but not least starts this weekend VolterraGusto, a great occasion to visit Volterra and taste its best products, wines and truffles of course. This Sunday there is also the Palio dei Caci Volterrani!

Markets

In Lucca there is the large antiques market with more than 200 exhibitors going on from Saturday to Sunday. In Siena on Sunday there is the Collectors Corner with antiques and collectibles. Also in Pontremoli there is the antiques, arts and crafts market on Sunday.

In Piazza del Mercatale in Prato on Sunday there is a market of local products and local arts and crafts from 9am to 8pm.
