Are you ready for three weekends of the most important food and wine fair in Volterra and surroundings. It’ time for VolterraGusto!

The program

Volterra is going to be the capital of tasting with lots of great events. In Piazza dei Priori, under the lodge of Palazzo dei Priori there is White truffle and local products market going on every day from 10am to 8pm.

Filo filo boccon bocconefood and wine tasting walk around the center exploring the local products and the beautiful buildings of Volterra.

Truffle tasting at the historical wine cellars of Palazzo de Luigi that is extraordinary open from 11.30am every day. On Thursday November 1st there is the truffles hunt at 3pm at the Park Enrico Fiumi.

On Sunday October 21st there is the Palio dei Caci Volterrani, during which the city districts challenge each other in rolling local cheese. Before the Palio there is the costume pageant. The on Sunday October 28th at 11.30am and on Thursday November 1st at 3.30pm there is the flag-throwers and historical musicians show in Piazza dei Priori.

Then there are wine tastings, as well as slow food tastings all around the city and inside the magnificent buildings of Volterra. Most of the restaurants have special tasting menus.
