Next week will be Easter and Florence will be very busy. Most of the museums and churches be open on Easter and here you find the up-to-date list.

State Museums open on Easter Day and Easter Monday*

Uffizi Gallery and Academy Gallery open from 8.50 am to 6.50 pm. Reservation is strongly suggested.


Pitti Palace – Modern Art Gallery and Palatine Gallery open just on Sunday from 8.50 am to 6.50 pm. Reservation is suggested.

Pitti Palace – Boboli Gardens, Silver Museum, Costume Gallery and Pottery Museum open both on Sunday and Monday from 8.15 am to 6.30 pm. Reservation is suggested.

Medici Chapels are open just on Monday from 8.15 am to 4.50 pm and reservation is suggested.

San Marco Museum opens only on Sunday from 8.15 am to 4.50 pm. Reservation is suggested.

The Last Suppers of Sant’Apollonia and San Salvi open on Sunday from 8.15 am to 1.50 pm.

The Last Supper of Ghirlandaio opens only on Monday from 9 am to 12 pm.

The Scalzo Cloister at Porta Romana opens only on Sunday from 8.15 to 1.50 pm.

The Archaeological Museum opens just on Sunday morning from 8.30 am to 2 pm.

City Museums open on Easter

Brancacci Chapel opens only on Monday afternoon from 1pm to 5pm.

Palazzo Vecchio and the Family Museum open from 9 am to midnight.


Santa Maria Novella Museum opens on Monday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Stefano Bardini Museum opens on Monday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Opera del Duomo Museum opens on Monday from 9 am to 7.30 pm.

Casa Buonarroti opens on Monday from 10 am to 5 pm.

Dante’s House opens both days from 10 am to 6 pm.

Horne Foundation opens on Monday morning from 9 am to 1 pm.

Stibbert Museum opens from 10 am to 2 pm.

Palazzo Medici Riccardi opens from 9 am to 6 pm.

Archaeological area in Fiesole opens from 10 am to 7 pm.

Florence Churches open on Easter weekend

Duomo opens on Monday from 10 am to 5 pm while Giotto’s Bell Tower opens on Monday from 10 am to 7.30 pm.

The Baptistery opens on Monday from 8.30 am to 7 pm.

San Lorenzo Church opens on Monday from 10 am to 5.30 pm.

Santa Croce Church opens on Monday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Santa Maria Novella Church opens on Sunday afternoon 1 pm to 5 pm and on Monday 9 am – 5.30 pm.

Santa Trinita Church opens in the morning from 8 am to 10.45 am and in the afternoon from 4 pm to 5.30 pm.

Santo Spirito Church opens in the morning from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and in the afternoon from 4 pm to 5.30 pm.

San Miniato al Monte Church opens on Sunday afternoon from 3.30 pm and 7 pm, and on Monday from 8 am to 1 pm and 3.30 pm to 7 pm.
