Today is Thursday and the weekend is in the air. As usual lots of events take place in Tuscany. Here you find a selection of the best events in Tuscany for the upcoming weekend.
In Florence you can taste great Italian hand-made beers at the Gusto Birra, a Beer Festival at Piazzale del Gusto. In the beautiful gardens of Palazzo Corsini takes place the annual appointment with “Artigianato a Palazzo” a special event with Italian and international artisans, showing their techniques and works. There will also be the famous Officina di Santa Maria Novella. On Sunday in Piazza Santo Spirito there will be the traditional Fierucola exposing local arts and crafts.
In Altopascio near Lucca there is the Bread Festival, where local bakers prepare special products that you can taste together with local food. In Terriciola there is the second appointment with the Strawberry Festival, while in Borgo San Lorenzo and in Pelago there is the Tortello Festival.
On Sunday in Piombino there will be the Palio di Santa Anastasia, celebrating the city patron with lots of events and the traditional challenge for archers. On Saturday and Sunday in Pistoia and Forte dei Marmi will take place a large antiques market, while on Sunday a nice collectibles market will take place in Scarperia and Carmignano.
