Events in Tuscany on this Weekend April 13th to 15th

Easter is gone and we’re ready for a new thrilling weekend with lots of events in and around Tuscany. Here you have my personal selection of the best events around.


In Florence in the garden next to Fortezza da Basso there is the traditional antiques and collectibles market where you can find lots of things. Two other larges antiques markets are in Forte dei Marmi and in the center of Lucca, where there will be more than 200 exhibitors. All these markets will be both on Saturday and Sunday from morning till evening.

In Pescia will take place Floraviva, a festival celebrating the city, its flavors and its flowers, famous all around the world. All around the city you will find flowers and food for all the weekend. If you like flowers I suggest you visit Orti e Horti in Lastra a Signa where you can find lots of different plants and flowers.

If you want to discover old traditions and the authentic Tuscan food I recommend you visit the Festival of Farmers’ Culture in Montefoscoli, a small village near Pisa. You can visit the beautiful museum and taste great quality food. In San Giovanni d’Asso in Valdorcia on Sunday takes place the ancient Festival of the creak (Festa della Scricchio) dating back to the Renaissance. It celebrates the several relics of Saints preserved in the city church. Every year a different Saint is celebrated and carried around the streets. In addition lots of events and lots of good food.


In addition to all these events from Saturday April 14th starts the 14th Week of Culture in Tuscany with lots of events and all state museums free!
