Melodia del Vino 2014: Wine, food and music in Tuscany wineries

When you think about Tuscany, you generally think  about good wine, food and great landscapes. If you add also great music and stunning  wineries I think we come close to perfection. Perfection that is named Melodia del vino.

What’s Melodia del Vino?

Melodia del Vino are 5 concerts hosted by 5 famous wineries in Tuscany. Every event includes wine and food tastings in these exclusive locations and will start around 6.30pm with guided tours to wineries and the related museums or special exhibits within the properties.

Then about 7pm it’s happy hour time with local products only, coming from the surroundings of each winery that will be accompanied by selected wines coming directly from the properties’ cellars. After food and wine you’ll listen to great musicians playing great music (classic or jazz).

Tickets are pretty cheap because they go from 30 to 10 euro per person and all include wine and food tastings! See here for more details.

June 26 at Antinori Chianti Classico – opening night with piano and violin concert in the exclusive winery of Antinori in the heart of Chianti Classico region.

June 28 at Petra Winery – open-air concert of chamber orchestra and jazz trio within the stunning property of Pretra winery in Maremma.

July 1st at Banfi Castle – piano concert within the lovely coutryard of the anciet Banfi Castle located near Montepulciano in Valdorcia.

July 3rd at Rocca di Montemassi – piano concert inside the barique cellar of Rocca Montemassi in Roccastrada, Maremma.

July 5th at Rocca di Frassinello – violin and piano concert inside the suggestive barique cellar of Rocca di Frassinello in Gavorrano, Maremma.

July 6th at Napoleon Villa San Martino – ending party with piano concert at the beautiful villa of Napoleon in Portoferraio, Elba Island.
