Boboli Gardens

May 1st is a bank holiday celebrating all workers around the world. Generally offices, shops and museums are closed, but not in Florence. Let’s see together the museums open on May 1st in Florence.


Pitti Palace and some museums will be open, so that you can visit the Boboli Gardens, the Silver Museum and the Costume Gallery. The ticket will cost just 1 euro and they will be open from 8.15am to 6.30pm. Even Palazzo Vecchio will be open all day.

Also the Bargello Museum and the Palazzo Davanzati Museum will be open in the morning from 8.15am to 1.50pm. The tickets will cost 1 euro each. If you want to visit the surroundings of Florence I suggest you visit the Medecan Villa of Poggio a Caiano,  the Medici Villa in Cerreto Guidi and the Villa in Castello. All villas open from 8.15am to 6.30 pm and the single ticket will cos just 1 euro.
