In Volterra there will two great appointments for tasting typical Tuscan food, such as Olive oil and Truffle.
On March 24-25, March 30 and April 1st Volterra will host VolterraGusto, important food festival where you can taste and buy excellent food. The main stars will be the TRUFFLES and the EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL coming from the city’s surroundings.
You can also attend to the special oil contest “Smooth as oil” (Liscio come l’olio) that will award the best oil from Pisa. All visitors can taste every oil at the first Oil Bar in Volterra, that will be located in Piazza dei Priori under the loggia.
There will also be a food market selling several products that were produced by local farmers, such as cheese, wine, vegetables and other food. Before you buy don’t forget to taste it!
