Tuscany is under the snow!

From North to South, from West to East, the landscape is covered in white soft snow. And here near Florence where I live there are about 10 cm of snow. But there are different scenarios all around, let’s see them together.

Volterra, for example, woke up under 2 meters of snow! And all the area in the Province of Pisa is in the same situation. But it seems that everything is under control and the snow removals and gritting trucks are working nosstop.

Instead in Florence it is almost a regular week day. Schools are open, workers are at work, and life goes on normally.

Even Livorno and its beaches are under 15 cm of snow. It’s something that doesn’ t happen every day to see this city completely white. In fact the last time it snowed in Livorno it was in 1962.

The forecasts for the next days aren’t any better. The snow will be replaced by low temperature and ice all around. So if you are coming to Tuscany in the next weeks, bring with you something warm and be prepared to a Siberian freezing weather!
