Last but not least come my suggestions to boost your Instagram account in the Eternal city. Beyond Piazza Navona, Piazza San Pietro and other tourist attractions, Rome offers lots of different places to take pictures.
If you love to take pictures and share them on your Instagram account you should visit these 5 places off-the-beaten path in Rome!
EUR, where symmetry meets perfection
EUR neighborhood is the perfect place if you’re a fan of simple, but massive architecture. It was built in late 30s as the area for 1942 World fair after an idea of Benito Mussolini. Even though the original project was unfinished due to WWII, EUR is a business and residential area full of beautiful buildings in stile Littorio. The most famous building is Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, that was supposed to represent a squared Colosseum.
Surprise through the lock
One of the most beautiful sights of Saint Peter’s Cupola is on the Aventino hill. Actually through the door’s lock of Villa Magistrale. You need a good camera, but you could have just the perfect picture of Rome!
An explosion of colors at Testaccio market
If you love taking pictures of food, then Testaccio market is the right place: piles of colorful vegetables, fruit, salami, cheese, bread and so on. In addition it can be perfect also for some street photography!
Love & Peace
If you’re looking for intense emotions you should visit the non-catholic cemetery of Rome. Located in the Testaccio neighborhood, it hosts the tombs of famous writers such as John Ketas, Percy Shelley and Gregory Corso. Most of the tombs are incredible masterpieces as the Angel of the Grief by William Wetmore Story.
The Hipster touch
If you love doors, designers’ shops, bohemian coffee shops and a fancy hipster atmosphere I suggest Monti area, especially Via de’ Ciancaleoni.
