Oil’s Routes in Tuscany

Tuscany Oil's Routes

Tuscany is famous for its production of wine and oil. The landscape is designed by olive groves and vineyards from North to South and from West to East. There are special itineraries in the region to help you discover Tuscany and its products. These are the perfect itineraries to discover unconventional Tuscany!

So after the wine’ routes in Tuscany, today we have a look at the Oil’s routes, since November is the month of olive harvest and production of new oil.

Strada dell’Olio Borghi e Castelli della Valdinievole

This trail is located in the province of Pistoia stretching from Uzzano Castello to the medieval towns of Massa and Cozzile. The area is covered with olive trees andspotted with lovely villages with ancients churches and shops such as Uzzano Castello, La Costa, Stignano, Buggiano, Colle, Massa and Cozzile.

Strada dell’Olio dei Monti Pisani

Monti Pisani are the mountains that divide Pisa from Lucca and include the towns of Buti, Calci, San Giuliano Terme, Vecchiano and Vicopisano, as well as Capannori. All these places are very nice and rich of history, as well as good oil.

Strada del Vino e dell’Olio Lucca Montecarlo e Versilia

This route join together wine and oil produced in the surroundings of Lucca, in particularly in the area of Montecarlo and Versilia. On the green hills there are several beautiful villas dating back to the Renaissance and 19th century.

Strada dell’Olio e del Vino Montalbano Le Colline di Leonardo

This route stretches from the Montalbano and inlcudes the Vinci, the town of Leonardo, and Lamporecchio. A mix of art, culture and great products to guide you through this area.

Tuscany Oil's Routes

Strada del Vino e dell’Olio del Chianti Classico

This route passes through the Chianti Classico area, stretching between Florence and Siena. The area is designed by castles, small tophill towns, ancient churches, vineyards and olive groves.

Strada del Vino e dell’Olio Costa degli Etruschi

More than 150 km of route stretching along the Tuscan coast, including Elba island. The area include some “Super Tuscan” wine such as the Sassicaia, the towns of Montescudaio, Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci.
