Certaldo
In Tuscany we have several towns and villages awarded with the Orange Flag by Italian Touring Club. The Orange Flag is a recognition of quality small towns with a population 15,000 or less, for their excellency in tourism, hospitality and the environment.
On Sunday October 14th we celebrate the national day of Orange Flags in Tuscany, and more in general in Italy. Every single town will organize special events to promote their beauties. So let’s have a look together at the main events in Tuscany!
Province of Florence
Barberino Val d’Elsa
At 9.30 guided tour to the medieval hamlet of Barberino. Meeting point in front of the Tourist Information Office, right in front of the Town-hall. Then at 10.30 star two other tours: one hiking tour in the impressive Valle di Scheto, and one to Sant’Appiano, stunning Romanesque Church few kilometers from Barberino. Certaldo
Free guide tour to the beautiful hamlet of Certaldo, departing at 3pm from the Tourist information Office. In Certaldo there is also Boccaccesca, important fair of local flavors. Reservation is mandatory by calling 0571661265.

Free guided tours to the main buildings going on all day to Palazzo della Battaglia, Museo delle Memorie e del Paesaggio nella Terra di Anghiari, to Roman and medieval findings of Palazzo Pretorio and to Teatro dei Ricomposti.
Province of Siena
Casole d’Elsa
Free guided tour from 11am to 12.30pm to the Archaeological Museum and to the Propositura di Santa Maria Assunta. From 3pm to 6.30pm guided tour to the surroundings including the Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta, Church of San Niccolò, Church of San Giovanni Battista in Mensano, Church of Santi Andrea and Lorenzo in Monteguidi and to the Church San Giovanni Battista in Pievescola.

Guided tours to the Civic Museum for Pre-History of Monte Cetona from 10am to 1pm and to the Archaeological Park of Belvedere from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 5pm.
Murlo

Free guided tours to the medieval hamlet at 9.45am, 11am and 3.45pm, and to the Tondo Park at the same hours.
Trequanda
Free guided tours to the hamlet and churches of Trequanda in the morning and afternoon. Special activities for children.
Radicofani
Guided tours to the romantic Garden of Bosco Isabella at 9am, to the Posta Medicea “Osteria Grossa” at 11pm, to the hamlet and churches at 3pm and to Castelmorro and to the Fortress at 5pm. Reservation is mandatory by calling 057855905 int. 1

Guided tours to the Gardens and to Pinocchio park on payment. At 4pm guided tour to Borgo di Collodi Castello and to the Church of San Bartolomeo.

Free guided tours to the hamlet of Cutigliano from 9.30am to 11.30am and from 3pm to 5pm. Free guided tours to the Museo della gente dell’Appennino pistoiese in Rivoreta from 10am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 5pm. Free guided tour to the small hydroelectric central of val Sestaione di Pian degli Ontani and to the mill Case Mori from 10am to 12.30pm. Free guided tour to Beatrice Park in Pian degli Ontani from 3pm to 5pm with tasting of local products made of chestnuts’ flour.
