Fairs, Festivals and Events in Tuscany in April and May

Spring has started, flowers are blooming and lots of events are coming in Tuscany. Are you ready?

Florence and surroundings

On Sunday April 14th there is the large Spring Market at Florence Stadium. Hundreds of vendors selling almost everything for all day in the streets around the stadium. From April 20th to 28th at Fortezza da Basso there is the Mostra dell’Artigianato, a large fair of arts and crafts coming from all around the world. On April 27th and 28th Giochi del Cascinale, a medieval reenactment at Cascine Park in Florence. Then on April 30th the Notte Bianca, a great event with lots of free events from dusk to dawn in Florence city center.

Then in May from 17th to 18th there is Wine Town, where you can taste excellent wines from Tuscany within historical buildings in Florence center. Concerts and cooking shows will enrich the program. From May 17th to 26th there is Firenze Gelato Festival, where you can taste a large variety of Italian gelato from the best masters in the world. From May 16th to 19th at the Gardens of Palazzo Corsini there is Artigianato a Palazzo, a unique market where you can find handmade artworks from artisan masters from all around Tuscany.

In Lastra a Signa on April 12th and 13th there is Botanica, a fair dedicated to flowers inside Villa Caruso Bellosguardo. In Fucecchio on April 25th there is the Taste fair to discover the local specialties and wines.

Livorno and Surroundings

In Livorno and surroundings there is Maggio Divino, a rich calendar of events to discover the real flavors and tastes of Tuscany, that includes Castagneto a Tavola on April 19th and 21st, the Rosso di Sera, presenting special menus anf fares in local restaurants and lot of other events.

Siena and surroundings

On Sunday April 14th there is the Palio delle Rocche in Guazzino, while from April 25t to 28th Orcia Wine festival four days of wine tasting in San Quirico d’Orcia. In Chiusure from April 25th to 28th there is the traditional Artichokes Fair and then on May 5th there is the Fair of Sant’Isidoro in Arbia with the traditional market all day long.

Pisa and surroundings

In San Giuliano Terme on May 19th the Strawberries Festival and in Calcinaia the Nozza Festival, typical cake of the area.
