Events in Tuscany on this Weekend from June 29th to July 1st

It’s going to be a busy weekend for me and for Tuscany too.

Medieval and Renaissance Festivals

Tomorrow on Friday 29th June Anghiari commemorates the famous battle held in 1440 with the traditional Palio della Vittoria. In Pisa on Saturday there is the Gioco del Ponte, a large costume parade with more than 700 figures in costume that will re-enact the historical battle on the Ponte di Mezzo. And on Saturday Cerreto Guidi celebrates Isabella dei Medici and goes back to the Renaissance for one night. In Lorenzana near Pisa for the entire weekend there is Laurentia Media Aetas, medieval festival bringing you back with jugglers, musicians, knights and ladies in beautiful costumes.

Other festivals and fairs

On Saturday 30th June in San Gimignano there is NOTTILUCENTE a special night festival about arts and traveling going on from 5pm to 5am.On Saturday night in Montaione there is LiberArti Festival young festival about street art. In Chiusi Saturday Night is bluewith a rich program of events with special openings of shops, restaurants and museums, as well as concerts and guided tours.

Markets and Antiques

On Sunday in Certaldo there is the market of Fra’ Cipolla where you can buy fresh and organic food produced in the surroundings. In Montalcino and in San Giuliano Terme there is the antiques and collectibles market on Sunday, as well as in Scarperia in Mugello, Pontremoli in Lunigiana and in Pietrasanta in Versilia. In Piombino on Sunday there is a large market and at night fireworks in Piazza Bovio.

In Montepulciano on Saturday and Sunday from 6pm to midnight there are wine tastings of Nobile wine all around the streets. In Castelnuovo Berabrdenga there is a Sunday in Chianti, guided tour to the surroundings and wine tasting included.
