Boccaccesca 2012 in Certaldo

 

This weekend and the next one in Certaldo there is Boccaccesca, a great event for wine and food lovers!

 What’s Boccaccesca

It’s a real festival for wine and food lovers, where you can taste the best wine and products from the region, as well as cooking classes, cooking shows, workshops, tastings and much much more.

Boccaccesca transforms the medieval village of Certaldo in the capital of taste. The streets will be full of artisans and local producers selling their handmade products. In addition there will be a special workshops and activities for children, as well as live music.

The calendar for the two weekend is really really full of nice events. On both weekends there is the Boccaccesca market where you can find handmade products together with food and wine excellence.

In the restaurants of Certaldo you find special tasting menus at special prices to taste the best traditional food, while along the streets you can taste other specialties such as lampredotto. In Piazza Santissima Annnziata there are the chocolate and baking classes, while at Limonaia basic cooking classes with famous chefs and in Slargo Valdracca you can meet a famous chef.

Details

Boccaccesca is on the first and second weekend of October, i.e. on Saturday and Sunday 6th and 7th October and 13th and 14th October, from 11am to 8pm.

Entrance costs 5 euro per person and 3 euro reduced tickets. Children under 12 years are free. For more details visit the official site of Boccaccesca.
