Another busy weekend in Tuscany full of great events all around. So let’s have a look together!
Fairs and Festivals
It’s time for chestnuts in Tuscany and we have a lot of fairs related to this great product, such as the Marradi festival with local products market and children’s activities on Sunday, Vicchio Chestnut Fair and Montieri where you can also taste polenta, mushrooms and other local products. Also in Monticello dell’Amiata there is the Chestnut Festival with arts&crafts market, entertainment and chestnuts of course.
In Certaldo there is the second weekend of Boccaccesca with a rich calendar of cooking workshops, food and wine tastings and children’s activities. In Lastra a Signa there is Botanica, market of rare plants, while in Firenzuola there is the Stone festival where you can buy handmade manufacts in pietra serena stone.
Markets
In Florence there is the Fierucola of Santo Spirito on Sunday with the arts and crafts market. In Livorno at the Rotonda dell’Ardenza there is a big market where you can buy almost everything. In Pelago there is the Fair of San Francesco with a large market with all kind of stuff. All these markets are on Sunday.
In Pistoia and in Forte dei Marmi there is a large antiques and collectibles market on Saturday and Sunday. In Massa Marittima on Sunday there is the antiques market, as well as in Carmignano near Prato.
Food Festivals
In Paganico there is the Porcini Mushroom festival, while in Bagnolo in the province of Grosseto there is the Amiata Mushroom Festival. In the small village of Guardistallo there is the Polenta festival with flag-throwers show and other events. In Palazzuolo sul Senio there is the Chestnuts Festival.
Other events
In addition to these events on Sunday Italian Touring Club celebrates the Organge Flags day with lots of free guided tours in Tuscany. Then in Castelnuovo Berardenga there is another appointment with Sunday in Chianti to discover the surroundings of this lovely town of Sienese Chianti.
