All Saints’ Weekend in Tuscany

This week we celebrate All Saint’s Day that will be on Thursday November 1st, and it’s going to be a long weekend of events all around Tuscany!

Celebrating Halloween in Tuscany

Before the All Saints’ day we celebrate Halloween, and in Certaldo there is a great funny and creepy party with lots of events for children and grown up. In Montemerano there is the Witches Party that transforms the beautiful hamlet into an horror castle with several events and tastings. entrance is free from 9.30pm.

In Borgo a Mozzano, where the famous Devil’s bridge is, there is a large Halloween Party that will be going on until November 4th. Then in Livorno you can explore the city by boatwith witches and vampires as special hostesses and stewards.

Festivals and Fairs

In Volterra there is the last appointment with VolterraGusto where you can state truffles, wine and excellent products from the surroundings of Volterra. In Pisa there is Dolcemente Pisa, the perfect festival to discover and taste the best sweets and cakes from Tuscany. There will be workshops ans cake design classes. The festival is on Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am to 9.30pm and entrance costs 4 euro.

In Florence starts Flores2012 with conferences and great artworks around the city. On Saturday starts also Florentine Food Biennial with special menus in restaurants, tastings ans other events. In Florence there is also the Florence Tattoo Convention with the best tattoo artists from all around the world.

In Barberino del Mugello there is the White and Black Truffle Market where you can find truffles and local products. In addition on Saturday morning and Sunday all day there is a large market. In Montisi in the Crete Senesi from November 1st to 4th there is New Oilve Oil Festival with oil tastings and guided tours to oil mills.

In the Municipality of Manciano in Maremma there is TopSecret Maremma a great occasion to discover hidden and secret places. There are free guided tours and free openings. Ad Anghiari from November 1st to 4th, there is a large festival about the tastes and flavors of Apennines.

In San Gimignano from November 1st to 4th the Cavalieri di Santa Fina, a group of medieval dancers, players and knights will sell wine and roasted chestnuts from 10 am to 6pm under the Loggia in Piazza Duomo!

Markets

On Sunday there are several antiques market all around such as in Pietrasanta, Fiesole, Forte dei Marmi, Pontremoli, Scarperia and Carmingnano.
